It's clay time! Our fun, project-oriented classes are a great introduction to working with clay. All classes will use handbuilding techniques (coil, pinch, slab), not the pottery wheel.

Learn how to throw on the pottery wheel! In our wheel classes you'll learn how to wedge clay, center, throw basic forms and glaze. Our classes are great if you're new to the pottery wheel, or if you need to keep practicing the fundamentals. Reclaim clay and community tool use included. Please wear a mask for class with Jordan. Ages 14+

This 7-week course will teach you the basics of handbuilding. You'll explore pinching, coiling, soft slab and hard slab construction techniques. This is a foundational course designed for individuals seeking a more detailed and in-depth clay learning experience. This is a perfect class to take if you are interested in studio membership in the future!

This 7-week course is designed for previous 101 students (or individuals with clay experience) that are ready for the next step. Explore the handbuilding techniques you've already learned to create the clay projects you've been dreaming of! You'll join a nurturing classroom environment where you can continue to benefit from tips and useful guidance from our experienced instructors

Create your very own slab-built planter, perfect for small house plants or flowers! Tricia Balok will guide you through creative process from start to finish. Open to students of all skill levels.

No. All classes will use our studio reclaim (recycled) clay which is included in the cost of the class. If you prefer, new clay is available for purchase for $25/25# bag. WCC members receive a $5 discount/bag.
Our studio clay is Laguna B-Mix. It is a very smooth and plastic clay that fires to an off white color. We electric fire to cone 5.
Yes, please do! We have tool kits available for purchase, or you can bring your own tools. We always have community tools available that you may use during class for free.

No. WCC is a busy place and we cannot offer make-ups.
We do not prorate class fees. Refunds will only be offered if no classes were attended. Refunds issued for classes have a $20 processing fee.
Class work will be fired promptly- usually within a week. You'll be notified when it's ready! Abandoned work will be discarded after 10 days.
No. If you are interested in firing services, studio membership is a great option!
