HANDBUILDING BASICS is a fantastic introductory class for anyone interested in working with clay away from the wheel. In this team taught class you'll create several ceramic pieces using a variety of handbuilding methods. No experience required, just bring your creativity!

Dive into the fiery world of pottery with our Intro to Pit Fire class! This workshop includes two days of clay work in the studio, where you'll create pieces of your very own. After the initial bisque firing of your work we will have a fun, full day to prepare and fire your pieces.

Explore the wildly exciting and sometimes unpredictable world of raku! In this class we'll experiment with horsehair and naked raku slip surface decorations. This class includes two days of making in the WCC studio and one fun-filled day of firing.

No. We don't always have instructors available during our open hours. All one-on-one and group lessons need to be scheduled about a week in advance.
No. All classes include the cost of clay in tuition fees. Additional clay is available for purchase for $35/25# bag.
Our studio clay is Laguna B-Mix. It is a very smooth and plastic clay that fires to an off white color. We electric fire to cone 5.
Yes, please do! We have tool kits available for purchase, or you can bring your own tools. We always have community tools available that you may use during class for free.

We do not prorate class fees. Refunds will only be offered if no classes were attended. Refunds issued for classes have a $20 processing fee.
Class work will be fired promptly- usually within a week. Abandoned work will be discarded after 10 days.
